I'm sure I'm not the only one curious about how the new tracked skid steers preform. I have been thinking about buying one for about a year now.
Some of my questions are : do they work as well as they say? If we use them on asphault more or less damage than wheeled machines? Will using them on pavement cause premature wear of the tracks but is it a lot more? Are they a lot more stable than their wheeled cousins?
We maintain and do a lot of digging in a couple of cemeteries here. they are about 3 tenths of a mile apart which we have to travel over paved roads to get from one to the other. so that's why my concern over wear. The other real important question is if anyone knows how do they work in the snow ? Which here can get quite deep and a wheeled machine can't really travel that well down very tight rows of headstones.

I do not have much experience with wheeled skid steers...or tracked ones for that matter. I have rented a few wheeled ones over the years and find them just about useless for my area which is mostly sand. I demo'd several tracked machines over the last month. In the sand you cannot beat them. They seem more stable than their wheeled cousins. If you are traveling on hard top in a straight line I do not see a huge problem. Tight turns on hard surfaces are what cause problems. Snow...I can only guess they would do better than wheels but we have no snow in my area so I will probably never get a chance to find out.
