Has anyone had use of Gehl skidsteers?
A lot of dairy operations use them in my area. Also service and sales are close.
Just not heard much about them. The dairy farms seem to like them for silage and hay.

Seems to be a lot of pockets of Gehl around Central Ontario. I know a couple of guys who run them and swear by them. Kind of like our old Thomas unit, not big on frills like a Cat or Bobcat, just a good simple machine that works hard. Having said that we just traded the Thomas on a new John Deere, reason being the Thomas service went to an out of town dealer and JD is all over in these parts.

Gehl makes a quality skid steer so you probably wont go wrong if you do buy one.....i was about to buy one before i found my CAT 236......after using the CAT controls, thats what did it for me in the purchase because the CAT was several grand more than the gehl

Gehl's and NH are the most used skids around here. Gehl's are made an hour away from me in Yankton, SD.

I have a Gehl 4640 and do like it alot.I looked at deere when i was looking and had to add on alot of what i got as standarded from Gehl, bobcat have dealer closer than the Gehl one they are too high tech and will cost more to repair i think and the other reason for not going there was dealer thinks they are the only game in town and service from what i hear is i get to it when i get to it. now who needs that when your paying good money very good money.

I just bought a Gehl 5640 Turbo and what sold me on it was price, financing and simplicity of the machine. No computers or anything like that. It has what you need to get the job done and if something does go wrong easy to service which saves money and at 15K less than a comparable Bobcat model it was an easy decision. Great machine and was built to work not to be fancy and impress the competition.

I come from switzerland. I have a Gehl 3825 about ten jears. Its a nice maschine, i like it. In this ten jears i have no problems with it. Now i think i will change it with a new 4640E turbo with joy stick controlls, are there computerised and can that be a problem?

Never ran one but I hear they're a good machine...don't see to many around here though. Mostly Bobact, Case, NH or CAT......
