I'm ptetty set on getting a Kubota, used quite a few and trust the name, but was wondering how say a 31 hp L3830/W backhoe compares to a New Holland, or a MF in $ and quality. I'm in the market, any tips appreciated!

i run a bobcat B300. very smooth and plenty of power. very manueverable with the four wheel steering. also easiest of the bunch to go from the forward controls to the BH controls. don't even have to get out of the seat.

I think you'd be more pleased with the Kubota. We own several Kubota products and couldn't be any happier. One major differene is you get more for the money in my opinion. For instance the Kubota has metal fenders and hood, greater fuel economy, and hydraulic power - all for a lower price. I think a set up like that with a hydro trans and quick attach loader would work well for ya.
Oh and I sell both the Kubota and the Case IH DX series at work (same as the New Holland Boomer for the most part). The Kubota's outsell them 20:1.

Here I'd quote ya right at $28,800 with a 24" bucket and Hydro trans. I know it will be a bit more up there.
