From the pic, it looks to be floating...

First of all. The deck is FIXED.

The mower is definately CLEAN for 350 hours, and does look to be in excellent condition.

You'll be real lucky to get $4K for it though.

Used Hydro Walkbehinds are regularly less than $3K

Why not just keep it and use up some more of its life. You could sell that in a few years with 1000+hrs and still get $3K for it.

With it being so new, your taking a big depreciation hit.

"Lets see. A used 350hr machine, or a brand new one with a warranty for a grand more?"

thanks for helping with the sale tls lol. i dont have much room for the scag and i bought a new dixie, so that is why i am selling. If i cant get relatively close to what i am aking then i guess i will keep it. I can ship the mower 2-3 hours outside of louisville ky. any the mower does have a fixed deck.

How can that mower be considered "fixed"?

There are 1/2" spacers (3 I believe) on the front yokes and castors (with king pins) that allow you to lower and raise the cutting deck. Maybe I am confused with what is considered fixed vs floating???

All of my WB's have the same setup and I consider them "floating"...it takes at best a whole 10 or 15 seconds to change the deck height

Rodfather,

Your joking, ...right?

MowFun's Scag is a FIXED deck walkbehind. The deck is bolted fast to the drive unit. Nothing can float.

This is a Floating deck. You can adjust the cut height by pulling a pin on each of the 4 carrier rods. This allows the deck to "float" much like a mid mount ZTR.

See the difference?

Damn Mow, what did you do let it sit an run on blocks? That is one of the cleanest mowers I have ever seen with 350 hours on it.....

Rod, shame on you..... :e)

That thing is extremely clean to have 353 hours on it. I know a guy that has a scag turf tiger with 250 hours on it and it looks like he has 2000 on it. I wish i needed a w/b that big I would buy it.

It looks nice, but not at that price. You will never get what your asking out of it!! Lower it down to 3k and you will sell it, to me :D

Very nice machine. I wish I could help take that off your hands, but don't have a use for it. Good luck.

That mower looks like an old friend. My first commercial mower was a Scag 52 with a Kawi engine. I see that Scag has not dramatically changed the design for all these years. Why mess with a winner? I owned a total of 3 of them and I loved every one. I still have on that finally gave up the ghost after about 12,000 hours. Actually, the motor still runs and the hydros are good, but the wiring is whacked!

I also have to say from personal experience that this mower is going to give someone a very long and very happy mowing life. I call it the Eveready mower because it just keeps going and going and going............
