HI Y'all.
I just had a new house built on a mound o' clay. I'm ready to try a lawn (3 or 4 acres) but construction has buried most of the topsoil under clay. I have two questions for the experts out there. 1.) should I bring in top soil or will I have luck planting seed in the clay? 2.) I've heard that a power box rake is the way to go as far as preparing seed bed. Will my JD 950 tractor (28 HP) pull one of these? All advice preciated.

Regards,
Toolman :b(

Well if you got the money, bring in the top soil.

A harley rake and 28 hp whould work.

Get a soil sample to see where you are at.

Lets work from there.

Topsoil is your friend in this case :(
