:S( :S( Hello Out There Everyone!!!:S( :S(

Well, Here Goes. Have a 763 Bobcat Skidsteer that has been an animal for many years. Never really a problem, I do routine maintance always..lube, oil change..etc.... Well yesterday while transporting a bucket full of top soil down my driveway my skidsteer slowly shut off as if it were fuel starved. Never the less. there was a quarter tank but I added some anyway. Thinking that maybe I was out of fuel I squeezed the primer bulb and the machine started but only ran for 200 yards and the same thing happened. I squeezed the primer bulb and it ran again for only a short distance. I bled the fuel filter it seemed fine but still the same thing!!! It seems that the primer bulb is not as hard as it should be when the machine is running it usually is very hard to squeeze. WHAT GIVES!!! Any suggestions!!!!

is it giving you any dummy lights like low oil, or low hydro? Check all basic safety sensors. how many hours on unit...could be/likely to be injection pump.

When water accumulates in the fuel filter, the interface between where the oil floats on the water becomes a gummy, filter clogging mess. If it were mine, the first thing I would do is to change the filter, add some diesel 911 fuel drier to the filter, and to the tank, bleed the system and try again. If that doesn't do the trick, check for old, separated rubber hoses from the tank to the filter, and from the filter to the injector pump. Then check to see if there is an intake screen on the input side of the pump that could be clogged. if after all that, no improvement, check also if there is a return line from the pump to the tank (Excess fuel bleed off line) make sure that it ain't kinked or clogged. After all these checks have been done, and come up negative, then take it to a good diesel shop for a pump check.
