Hello, I have a 2001 773 G turbo, aprox. 2600 hours on it. After about 45 min. of use the hydraulics for the bucket and lift arms stops working. I get 3 beeps and the ACS light goes on, the lift and tilt valve light goes off on left panel. If I shut the key off and restart, it will start working again for about 10 min. or so, then it will happen again. Eventually failing completely when I move the arms or bucket. I am still able to drive it back to the barn and let it sit, just to go through the same process the next day. I found out how to access service codes. I ran the machine and got it to fail again. The code Im getting is 32-50, (Tilt actuator short to ground). I found the actuator, I could not see anything out of the ordinary there. I checked the hand controller and did not see anything wrong with that. I thought I would run it by you guys before I replace the tilt actuator, it is very expensive . Thank you for any help, Todd
I was using my 99 Bobcat 773 today. Everything was fine until I shut it down let it sit for a while then started back up. Upon start up I cannot moved the bucket and the "tilt and lift valve" light is not illuminated like it normally is. Also my AHC light is on.
Any ideas?
I did the same thing...restarted it and the light stays on until the second I try to move the bucket.
Please advise if you can.
Thanks
Today I went out to try my Bobcat again and after a few minutes I had the same problem. I called the Bobcat dealer and they walked me through the process of getting the error code. I believe it came out as 32-36 which he said it was a lift actuator. The dealer told me it was a $640 dollar part...my heart skipped a beat. He suggested a method to see if the actuator was bad by switching the wires of the two actuators then recheck the error code to see if it changed to 32-31 (or something like that).
When I opened up the side hatch I could see that the wires were buried in greasy, mucky, moist soil. It was so compacted in there that I had to dig with a screw driver. I then knocked alot of the junk off of the wires so that I could reverse the switch the connections. After doing that, I started the machine and the bucket worked great (just with the opposite hand controls). I could not get it to error anymore.
At that point I was hoping that the moist dirt was the culprit. I reconnected the wires to their correct (original) position. I was glad to see that it not only worked great at that point, but the bucket was so much smoother than before. I thought it was jerky because I was a novice operator, but now it was so easy to operate the motions of the bucket.
Time will tell if the problem is solved or if I just temporarily got it working again. So far, I only had the chance to test it for about 20 minutes before dark but considering it wouldn't work at all before this, I think I may have fixed it.
I opened the hatch on the right side (while your seated looking forward) to get to the connectors. There is also a brain of some sort in that compartment that I cleaned off.
Maybe this will help you out. I hope it solved my problem....so far so good.
Just posting a follow up.
I used the 773 for hours today and it worked great. I hope my experience will help others with this problem. Take care
