I tried it and my wrist cannot take the pistol grips, gotta go back. If anyone is interested let me know, it was $1700 with velkie. I'm not looking to make any money, in fact you would be paying the dealer, not me. Has 80 hours and it's a 2002 model 12.5 Kohler.

Ray I know how you feel, I have one and it hardly gets used anymore for that same reason, that was my first mower and now I am paying for it with the pain that I have in my wrists. MIne is about 7 yrs old and still cuts good, but it sits on the trailer or at the house in the garage.

Hummmm.......no.

I'm simply taking it back to the dealer, I have not paid for it yet, he let me try it. I have to stick to the Great Dane type system for now, my get a 36" Surfer.

Aw c'mon guys!! When you have mowers that hurt you, you're supposed to hire Mexicans. :D :D

Ray, Is it a hydro? If so, you can swap the tension springs to a lower resistance. I can change mine from finger loose to tight as hell. I'll bet the have a beefier spring than is necessary if the mower is a hydro. Only thing is with the least tension spring, you get less hydraulic pressure (pulling the pumps to neutral) when pulling a sulky.

P.S. I was wondering when you bought it why you bought it....I remember years ago having discussions with you about how the pistol grips pained you. Did you feel that you've gotten stronger with age? ;)
