Here is our lil wheelbarrow.
2004 T-250 1700 hours SJC 81hp Kubota diesel
48" forks and 80" bolt on tooth bucket.
I don't know who ever said bobcat was hard to service.
The things that I want to touch are right at my fingertips.

I said they were tough based off my experience with my 463 and others when belts or pulleys go usually have to pull engine to get to stuff...

I don't think I will put a leaf plow on it, but I do have a 8.5 Western snow plow that I will mount up to this machine. I will build it with tabs for the push plate to have down pressure. I bought Cat yellow farm paint in the intent of buying a cat 257B. Now I guess I will just paint it black to match the bobcat attachments.
I have seen many plates to fit skidsteer for snow plow. I would like also to make this a full multi use plate. 1" ID ears for the plow to mount to at the bottom of the plate. A 2" tube in the middle with sliding tabs with 3pt hitch couplers.
For the top third pin a 2 1/4" tube welded to the plate with a piece of 2" tube to slide into. One with a hook to hold the plow chain. The other with hole to mate a 7/8" impliment pin and flat bar to hold the top link.
With the top piece the same size as truck hitch I could move a trailer around with a ball and hitch.
I have big plans for some welding projects. One of wich would be a land plane.
Now that the season has started it may be awile till I get the chance to make some sparks.

Other people locally have said they were had to do a oil change and service on.
Big Case guys. I don't know how it could be easier. The Bobcat mechanic said they are a PITA to change belts etc.
The service was always done at Bobcat of STL. The salesman printed up the history log. The belt was replaced at 1430 hours

Ducky: Hey Jarred I bought a new Huffy 10 speed.
Jarred: Duck you went to Wal-Mart and bought crap should have bought a Trek.

I'm sure I could drive to the ends of the Earth and might end up with a little cheaper. Hell no matter what you buy you will find a better deal on it after you buy one. It's just murphy's law. I feel we bought a good machine as the sales man went into the service area. We looked up the service record and the previous owner. Landscaper in O'fallon owned it. Gave the owner a call and received the info on the machine. It was on a 5 year loan when new. A few things you would expect with a piece of equipment. Replaced tracks at 1300 hours. Buying a used piece of equipment will always be like rolling the dice. You must pay play the game.

Not to worried about a machine with AC. A aftermarket windsheild would be nice for the snow.

lol. didn't mean it that way. Oh btw, I've rented Bobcat, Case & Cat skid steers. CAT is by far the better of the three. IMO I will speak on what I know, if you don't like it ignore it. Just because I don't own something doesn't mean I have operated it before and know about it.

Eric, Your a toolbag. Don't talk about something you know nothing about. When you find enough work to justify the purchase of a machine like this then I might listen to what you have to say about prices. I've shopped around 7 months now and their is absolutely nothing around spec wise, in that condition, for that price. This machine is going to pay for itself very quickly, and have great resale value. What costs more?

I can agree with you on quality. I was just stating what i know. A guy offered me his t250 for $14k last year. And i saw another one in ad tracker for $15k. Dont know if their in as nice of a condition as yours. but cheaper. Thats wall i was saying man, dang. :S( You almost cant buy what you got, quality, and you know what its been through. And all the service done. Most people beat the piss out of them.
I just wish i could justify the purchase of one. But i might have to settle for a dingo, or boxer.

Around STL area Bobcat of St. Louis set the pricing. They have a spec sheet that list the year, hour, features, and price. You can go to the website and look at the rental pricing. From that they set the price. If an indivdual would sell a piece they are sure not going to loose money. One call to Bobcat and they will tell you how much the machine is worth.
14k to 15k you could spend easy over 21k to fix that machine.

I would not mind buying a older smaller wheeled machine. Something like a 753 or caase 1840.

I did like the mini skid or stand on skid. I was playing with one while my brother was on the T-250. I guess many guys call them a dingo even if they are made by Bobcat, or boxer. Kind of a trade name. The attachments would fit the 463. I think it has the same lift capacity. That purchase may a few years off.

The MT55 that bobcat makes uses the standard quick coupler on most skids, but most other mini skids use a smaller plate. That was the thing i liked about the MT55, it just got me in trouble a time or two (it is not quite big enough to handle a 25 yrd roll of sod).

Yes, I knew they had a real universal plate. That would make very nice. I love the ability of switching things. Like pallet forks, or some smaller attachements. You are a brave man with 25yards. How did that work out?

Good for the most part but if you got it when it was wet you couldnt keep the ass end of the machine down, otherwise very well. much faster in open areas.

I seen that earlier... sucks to be him and i am suprised that there are not more stolen from the dealer lots around here. I can think of a dealer or two that i can drive on the lot climb in a machine and go. Most of the contractors that i know use the skid to pin the trailer down then have added fuel or electrical cut offs on them. Yea that is probably where the cheap machines come from.
Yes the minis are awsome to use. I will most likely buy one of them before a larger skid this time, just not sure if it will be an MT55 or a RamRod 1150 (has better lifting and more stable), but more $$ and dealer is out of St. Louis.

I just hate to see that. I guess they took the part out of the gooseneck that connects to the ball. Sounds like the theif had it all planned. That is one heck of a loss.
I have heard good things about them. I don't have any field time with them, but looks to be an effective way to manage small landscepe jobs. It would not take a huge truck to pull it to a jobsite.

Sure anything is worth the price. In the winter you can sit down and use it to push snow. Do they make some sort of cab and sheild for that model?

If the rough grade was done and topsoil had been spread it was as quick to use it as it was the large machine unless it was a large lot, but most of the time it was just as quick and a lot less trouble to move.
