Here it goes can anyone help to idenify this Wisconsin engine. The engine runs so I don't want to take off no head or anything. The little I know and it is not very much. It has a Zenith Carburator with no idenifing numbers (updraft) The oil filter is a Wix 51010, the spark plugs that are in it are Autolite 386, it is a 4 cylinder, has points, The Bobcat was sold to me as a M600. I have contacted Bobcat dealer and they told me where the data plate should be(on the bobcat) but the previos owner had taken it off as to what reason is beyond me. I just want to upkeep on this and really would like to know what I have for parts reason. Anyhelp will be dearly appericated. I also uploaded a few pictures with hopes that someone knows by sight.I would have done more but they only allow 3 pics
Thanks for any help
Sorry about the pictures the engine should have been bigger hope u can still see it

That thing is from the early 1970's and you may need to find some used wis. engines to get parts for that...

The engine may be a 28 HP VH4D Wisconsin. Nice older 600, what did you give for it?

Just was told that maybe this engine is a VF4 (one piece exhaust) or VH4 (3 piece exhaust)I really haven't seen no threads on these modles except one. Anyone have any info...

If it was mine i would jerk that wis out and put in a briggs or honda motor and have smoothing reliable and that would not cost alot to repailr. These engines are pretty touchy little motors. If you wanted to spend a little more and get a desiel like from (surpluscenter.com) and really have a machine. If you run a wis you better move alot of air on a really hot day or they overheat and shut down.
