I'm rebuilding my 610 engine the variable speed sheeve, the fixed one will not let go, in the past I used a wheel puller and bam it broke I don,t want to do that again. anybody have experiance removing these without breaking it?

I just spent two days working that off. I kept spraying PB Buster on the shaft, tapping on it, and using my gear puller. I also heated the pulley. After going slow, and having patience the thing popped off.

i use a bearing splitter/knife & a t-bar puller, i broke my pulley the first time trying to use the arm style puller & had to have it welded. the bearing knife tightens down on the cog part of the pulley (where the belt sets) & isn't pulling on the thin face & back. see attached.
