I have some how messed up a setting in this browser.
When I have 1 window open (full size), and click on something to open another IE window, the new window opens at 1/2 or 1/4 size.
I know there is somewhere I can change what size new windows open at, I just cant find it.
Can anyone help ?
Might be a Hustler hat in it for ya.....lol....lol...
Thanks

Pj,
When you open the window and it opens small, try and spread the window out from the sides and it should open that same way the next time. Let me know if that works.

To control the size of primary and secondary IE windows, start by closing all IE windows. Then launch IE, right-click on any link, and choose Open in New Window. Size the secondary window the way you want all such windows to be. Now close it by clicking on the X icon at the top-right corner while holding down the Shift key. Repeat this for the primary window that remains. You may have to repeat the process from time to time.

On the control buttons, is the sizing button showing two small squares? If it's showing one large square, click on it and size window by dragging edges to fill screen.
If you minimize any screen prior to the main browser screen, all following screens will open as small. Right click on any minimized button in task bar and pick maximize.

Pj, have you downloaded a new browser, i.e. Netscape? Or have you installed a new ISP? If so, some of them may have changed your IE settings. If not, I'll keep looking for a different answer to help ya out.
I thought Union's suggestion would work.

It did for me!
I had the same exact problem as PJ. I simply closed the screen with the shift key after maximizing it and it worked.

PJ, have you checked for spyware? My answer should solve the problem, but how knows. Quit visiting those porn sites...lol

I had the same problem and solved it with the steps outlined on this page:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/ietips.htm
I'll paste the text here - the trick for me was to resize manually and use CTRL not SHIFT when closing. Good luck.
Ever notice sometimes you right-click on a link and open a new window and it's not full screen? This usually occurs because IE remembers the last window size when closed. Many times a background pop-up will do this too, if it is the last window closed. To resize the window and regain control:
Close all instances of Internet Explorer except for one.
Right-click on a link in the page and select: "Open in New Window"
Close the first browser window using the [ X ] (upper right corner)
Resize the window manually by dragging the sides to the desired size.
Note: Do NOT click the Maximize button, you must do it manually.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Close button (upper right)
[Exception]
In some cases the "Remember last window size" info becomes corrupted in the Registry.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Window_Placement"=
To reset the "Window_Placement" entry to default. You can download a small reg file to reset (to default) and correct this behavior.
Download: ResetWindowPlacement.reg [right-click and select: "Save Target As"]
To use: right-click and select: Merge - Ok the prompt and reboot.
When all else fails, paste the below line into Start | Run
javascript:window.open(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight)
Note: then make sure the above window is the last one closed.
