Okay I have had this program for about a year....it used to work fine. Recently this cottonpickin program runs slower than a drunk snail on downers! Anyone had this problem or maybe have suggestions?
Thanks.
I clear temp. internet files regularly, do system clean ups, defrags....blah blah blah...and all other programs work fine except this one. Xp on an 2800+ AMD Athlon, high mem, and hard disk, so I doubt it's the computer's problem.

Is that shorthand for a Big Flippin Hammer?
My husband used to be a calibrator when he was in the Army, on a traveling team around Europe. Mostly they did electronic cal stuff, but sometimes when a piece of equipment wouldn't regulate, they'd do "physical calibration" -- involving dropping it from an inch or so onto the bench, smacking the sides, etc.
Whatever works.
Aside from that... Cindy, I have no clue. Only thing I can think of is that maybe one or more of your newer virus protection program updates would be fighting with some of the code in the Photoshop.

Use photoshop if you need it I can send it.
Virus programs often conflict.
Can also try reinstalling.
But I would turn off the virus program when you use it.
What are you using for Virus protection and fire wall and that other good stuff?

This is almost exactly what happens. When I open something and try to even just make a circle, it takes foreeeverrr....then it either locks up or just sits there for several minutes. As soon as I click on it again, same thing all over again.
I use Norton antivirus and firewall. Have tried disabling both and it didn't help. I had a few newer programs I thought may be conflicting with it, uninstalled them, that didn't help. I have done a repair on the program, helped for a few seconds then the same thing again. Next step is to uninstall and reinstall...again...maybe the second time will work.
Matt, I might just be interested in that photoshop if I can't get this corrected. It's driving me nuts.
Norton.
I had used Norton a long time ago. Then had a new CPU built and it came with McAfee. Then with this CPU they put in Norton. I had to reformat and install McAfee.
Nothing worked properly with Norton.
That is just my experience.

I don't thin Norton is the problem if she disabled it and the program still has issues. Uninstall it, Delete any folders associated with it. Search your registry for references of the program too and delete them. Then try to reinstall.
GO BUY A DELL That will fix all pc problems

After you said that earlier I got to looking around and found alot of people said the same thing on support sites. They also supposedly have a version 9 coming soon. I may just complain and complain until they give me an upgrade for free lol I haven't even had time to mess with it over the last few days, maybe tomorrow...I'll let you know how it goes.
As far as that new Dell.....well, heck Joe if you want to buy one for me, I WOULDN'T REFUSE:S( :e)
Cindy I would BUT I have came to realize in life that I respect and enjoy stuff that I have worked hard for moer than i do the stuff that was given to me.
