Automate quickbooks AR--inputing received checks

Do any of you know of a way that you can use some type of scanner to input a payment when received payments from clients in quickbooks or any other programs like lawn monkey clip exct..?
Starting this month, I took over my dad's A.R.'s and sure don't feel like spending 2 hrs every night inputting payments manually.

Gopher is coming out with a scanner for their program wich in turn integrates with QB. Also I think CLIP has software for your palm pilot so you can enter cgarges at the time they are performed and then sync when you get to the office.

I know QBexpress does bar codes then you just enter the amount of payment

See, when your entering over 400 payments a month, even entering the amount can become tedious. Except when extra charges are incurred, the payments are a fixed amount.

Ok you programmers out there, fix me a program that will do this in quick books for me

If you mean memorizing invoices, that, I learned when quickbooks was only available for dos.

how would taking the time to load a scanner, then convert from image to text be any faster than inputing the amount paid? I can receive at least 20 per minute doing it through QB current method, maybe I am just so excited to get paid.
