I thought Id down load a game from AIM and I am now getting 3 new windows opened every time I try to view a thread>


How do I stop this ****.

AOHell is going to hear from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you inadvertantly downloaded some spyware, probably "autoclick" or "mallclick" or one of the others. you need to do a scan and delete them spywares.

yup I think the spyware taht I have on this new pc is pretty cool though. IF I go to say lowes.com a Page will also open for Hoime Depot. THat has happened twice now and If I click on a book title to find out more barnes and nobel.com opens up. the good thing is that it is always on topic and never all of that porn and gambling stuff like somespyware is

But I hate havint to close 2 windows to view a thread.

I have downloaded spywaredoctor and found almost 400 entrys for spyware but it still wont get rid of the windows.

That's why I won't download anything from aol. It'll just piss you off, and put a bunch of crap on your computer.

Download the Google toolbar,it has a popup blocker.

Mcafee is more user friendly with Windows XP Pro. Norton has to many conflicts


Just go into your "Internet Properties" change the Security and Privacy settings set them higher........that will take care of some

Download the Google toolbar,it has a popup blocker.

This works great if you don't wanna spend money on other methods. It has cut down on my pop ups significantly.
