I want to change a text file to a format that I can get to upload in the manage attachments,I changed the file to a jpeg and that wouldent work,got error message in the mng attchmnts window,so tried changed to html ,no go.So I want to take a wordperfect text file and post it but don't Know how.P.S>I'm not so good at cutting and pasting either.Please help,running windows XP new computer,just dummie operator.Thanks MNTN :b(

Theres no reson for it not to load as a jpeg. nor should it be a problem uploading a text file.
Double check to see how the file is saved, (format) and check size, other than that I dont get it.

I can't get it changed to the type of file that the upload will accept and dont know how to cut it and paste it where you can see it :b(

0h to heck with it,forget it guys.I must have saved into the wrong file type and compressed it too.Ill just write it out again and see if I can save it into a file that will be available to upload??? :O)

Copy & paste instructions: Take the cursor to the begining of what you want to copy. Hold the left mouse button down & move to the end of the passage you want to copy. It should be highlighted now (if you are copying the whole page or item, right click the mouse and then choose Select All from the pop up menu- this will highlight the whole thing for you without having to use the mouse) . Now there are 2 methods to do the copying. 1. Put your cursor over any part of the highlighted text and right click the mouse. Then choose Copy from the pop up menu. then get to the place where you want to put the text (example- hit reply in this thread) then put your cursor where you want the text & right click the mouse again. Select paste from the pop up menu & the text you highlighted will be there. or 2. After you have highlighted the text, on the keyboard press Control and the letter C at the same time. This Copies the highlighted text. Now get your cursor to the place you want the copied text and then on the keyboard press Control and V at the same time. The highlighted text will now be pasted there.

So in the case you are describing here, you could simply Copy the text, then open the new reply & paste it in your reply instead of uploading it as an attachment. Practice the copy & pasting 2 or 3 times and it will become second nature & you will no longer be able to post that you are not so good at it. Good luck
