I know many of us use the big name tractors JD MF Kubota NH. well i have a dealer down the road that sells what i like to call the no name brands. I always said there was no way i would ever look at one..well the weather has been nice so i figured why not take a ride down the block to check these things out. i have to say 2 out of the 4 brands he sells were pretty nice.the brands i liked were NEW CENTURY and MONTANA. i liked the montana brand more because of the warranty and over all construction of the units. there almost like MF tractors but not with the same price.there 27 hp model with loader was only 16.500 i think im going to buy one in the spring since i don't get along with my JD LOL MONTANA HOME (http://www.montanatractors.com/)

I can't remember the brand. But what I looked at was just like you said, a solid machine, nice warranty, ans the guy was so happy that I was looking (even though we both new I wasn't going to buy)

For limited use, I think they would be OK. But if I was going to have to depend on a tractor to be used and abused, others might be worth the cash.

But I've got a good rental for my limited use now.

the new century yes there made over seas.they also make tractors for JD i watched a video on there factory which showed many JD models..mostly there farm grade tractors..the montana brand is made in AR and theres no japanese writing with this unit...the customer support is great also. not every brand is made in the USA

very true but there were many parts on the montana 2740 that were the same if not better than my JD 790...only big difference i saw was the gas tank mounting, engine makes and mine doesn't have shuttle shift

now if your talking jinma or the northern tool brand (which is the same) for personal use there okay but anything else there junk
