Does anyone know anything about the farm pro name brand tractors? I would like to have a tractor for bush hogging. Several dealers here in alabama sell this brand at a reasonable price, but i don't know if they are any count or not? l^)

There are a lot of refurbished tractors out there.

Nothing wrong with them.

They call them gray market tractors.

Those are not the best ones in the world. I believe they are the same ones as the Nor-Trak that Northern Tool sells. Very cheaply made tractor from the people i have talked to that tried them out. If i were you i would look for a used reputable brand tractor.

Farm Pro is made by JINMA an import tractor they also make the brand nortrac and iron horse...there an okay home use tractor but i wouldn't use it for commercial use..look into new century or montana tractors there the next step up from the farm pros and are a much better tractor DEALER SUPPORT. FarmTrac is another nice brand..there the makers of the older ford model tractors which they still make and they have 4 wheel drive units that look like the older 2 wheel drive fords...same color too

Actually, that is not the definition of "Gray Market" equipment.
Gray Market tractors and construction equipment are built for the overseas market. They do not meet most US Government regulations regarding safety, or emissions. Many parts on, say, a gray market Kubota, will not interchange to a Kubota built for the North American market. North American dealers will usually not warranty any gray market machines. I have read stories where US Government inspectors have tracked down purchasers of gray market machines, and siezed those machines.

I just bought a farm-pro from a reputable dealer with good access to parts/ service is close.make sure you have an upgrade for the dump. otherwise my buddy w/ a NH was impressed with mine.the above last sentence is one of the most ignorant, sentence's i've seen on this board..

Why do you say that. It is totally true. There are many reports in construction equipment-related publications of this happening in the past. It may not be happening today, but it has happened. As a former equipment manager for a nationwide mining and manufacturing company, I followed this series of events closely through the late 80's and on into the 90's.
Let's not be so insulting when you don't know what you are talking about.

I researched all aspects of this purchase before i bought.so, your statement stands as only my observation, however alarmist, blatent un-informed recent statements can only be called what they are.ignorance.As in DUH! :C)

I would buy a kubota, For one parts are easy to get to, 2 they have way higher resell values, and 3 you rarely have any problems out of them

just did 20 acre's with my farm pro. gray market tractor. impressive.thats what an old farmer told me about the machinf. easy to work on. great dealer support. parts are easy to find for HALF of what a NH or Kubota...it will pay for itself by june. why waste money on "name brand' when there are tractors out there now that gets it done for half the price or less.

I sell jinma tractors and will soon be selling the Montana line as well. I have 2 parts suppliers and if they don't have the part I go directly to jinma and they air frieght the part to me within a week.

as far as the attachments. I sell koyker, woods and brush hog. the koyker loaders for the jinma are far better than the over sees ones.

Now with the rise of TYM,Montana and Branson tractors. Most dealers are selling these brands now because of the parts availability and these tractors have factories in the states that offer great product support.

However Jinma are still my # 1 sellers

and if you did any homework before you became a dealer you would find out that they are almost one in the same. I have a koyker 160 loader on mine much better than the china stuff .for now.
