Well it happened.

Last night while printing off some reports for TAXES it happened.

My Lex-mark X73 all in one stopped printing. I have had the old gal for about 5 years. She was getting stuck where the ink cartridges rest. I tried cleaning the cartridges but it still sticks.

Now my question to you guys?????

I am looking for a printer for $500.00 or less.
I like the all in one types.
I want to be able to print professional looking fliers and brouchures..
I also want to be able to print photos and landscape designs.

I am open to all your ideas and suggestions

Dell! A-920 is All-In-One. Print, scan, and copy. No fax. A-960 has the fax too. Way less than $500. The A920 is less than $100. BTW, Dell is Lexmark with Dell name on it.

check out the HP1350v at wal-mart 148.88 it is an allin one and will send faxes, and you dont have to get the toner from dell.it is a two cartrage printer, has a black, color and an optional color for photo quality prints.

I couldnt be more pleased with mine!

I am happy with my HP 6110 officejet all in one. No problems so far.

I bought a HP 5110 all-in-one about 4 weeks ago. This replaced a HP 610 deskjet.(antique!!) The 5110 is fast and makes great copies. I bought it at Staples and paid 160.00. They were running a special. It's normally 200.00 same as Walmart. I can't give you alot of technical details like the other guys here, but I'm real happy. Matt

Well guys, I may not be in the same league here but for the last 5 years I've been saddled with a Canon BJC-5000. It's been a lemon from the very start. I've never really been happy with it. Long story short.....

A couple of months ago, I was in Staples and they had a Lexmark Z25 that the girl said could do anything my old Canon could do except print on wide paper. As long as I was using standard typing paper size, this printer was just fine. So I bought it. I've been using it like crazy ever since and it hasn't skipped a beat. The price?

$39.95

I just went to Office Depot and picked up a HP 7110. It is a great All in One machine.

Thanks for all the replies

My last printer was a HP 810c and has lasted 6 years with no problems. I bought a Lexmark all in one back in September and it has been giving me problems. It scans and copies great, but the paper keeps jamming. I called Lexmark today and told them about it and they said they will send me a new one, no questions asked.

So I would give HP products an A+ on quality, and Lexmark an A+ on support.

Just so you know, most HP printers are sold without full ink cartridges. This helps keep cost down, that is why you will notice that sometimes it seems cheaper just to buy a new printer then to buy 2 new cartridges.

Soupy,

P.S. Take away the "L" in Lexmark and what do you have?

The bad thing about printers is that they are out of date in 3 months. We print a overwelming sum of items and go thru a printer once a year.Even the cheap ones today are better than the high price ones of just a year ago.The printer manf cant keep up with the rapid growth of technolgy of today. My advice is to look at the best price for your needs.
