Yeah, it was pretty innovative to put throwaway mowers in big-box stores...

Has anyone used any of JD's irrigation products? It would be interesting to read feedback of quality, performance, price, and so on. Just for kicks.

From the looks of this article, they already have Rainbird.

I don't think it would ever happen.

Both companies are strong companies.

Now a Hunter\Rainbird company.....wow.

Hunter really doesn't have any homeowner stuff in the big box stores as far as I know, yet RainBird has it's foot in the door for both residential market as well as the commercial side. Now to think of it.....that will never happen anytime soon.

Regarding the company just taken over......WHO?

It's a CA company yet I've never have heard of them. They must do irrigation stuff for the farmers.

It's been 2 month and I seen piece in the local paper that mentioned an outfit that Installed drip irrigation to potential who had land and wanted or considering a garden and wanted drip irrigation and making a killing doing it.

Event hough, there are outfit that offer this type of product, there are way to make it apart of your local add incentive to the service you offer. I've even pondered the though of offering it to my local here!

After all when your paying anywhere between 1.59 per lb of fresh produce it sound economically feasiable!

However, you don't need someone like John deer to capitalize on this in get your products!
Your local retailer will do just fine, as long as you have a market for it!

Just something to ponder!
